Among them is Kersten James Chircop, a major figure in Malta’s gaming and esports scene for over 15 years. As a director at GMR, he’s behind some of the country’s biggest events, like PLAYCON, the Malta ePremier League, and the Malta Cyber Series. He also serves as vice president of the Malta Esports Association, helping to shape the future of esports on the island.
You’ll also hear from Ryan Camilleri, CEO & Lead Developer at Midow Studios, a game and AI developer, who brings over six years of experience in the gaming industry to the Europe Career Summit. He’s known for his work on titles like Taskmaster VR and Fanport Worlds, and in 2021, he won best VR prototype by the Game Development World Championship. In 2023, he founded Midow Studios to create a fantasy-themed VR multiplayer experience, now leading a dedicated team.
Chris Cachia will also be speaking. He is the co-founder and director of Bloxx Bureau, which is a specialist service provider in the video game and esports industry in Malta and the EU. Chris assists and advises both local and international esports organisations and video game companies on a wide range of topics covering corporate structuring, fundraising and governance. A Financial Services Professional with 17 years of experience working in the regulatory, asset management, and corporate services industries, Chris has held various roles in regulated and non-regulated entities in Malta, UK and Luxembourg.
